Mustard Seed

It was as always a cool morning even if it was the summertime.  I huffed and puffed to drag the few hygiene packs I made for the homeless drive.  I always feel it's so little.  The night before I hurried to make the few packs blessing them along the way that it would make someone feel less forgotten and hopefully more forgiven for whatever sins they have or think they've committed. I can't judge or more importantly I won't judge.  It's not my place.  The Lord's Prayer says "and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive the trespasses of others". They need so much and I give so little. A bit of time, a bit of prayer, and a bit of Hope.  Yet I'm glad for Hope: it is like a mustard seed and grows with the giver and the receiver.  For when we give freely and without judgment, smiles appear on those homeless and Yes sometimes tears because they realize they are not forgotten by God and our Lord Jesus Christ who said that faith and love grows like a mustard seed which shelters those who come with nothing else but their Faith.  I am just an instrument for God to use when the need arises.  And bit by bit, little by little alms come, a small laugh, a thoughtful prayer and peace comes.
