Following the Call
It wasn't long before Daybreak's homeless ministry created their footprint in Baltimore City with an impact that is still being felt to this day. One afternoon, they encountered a homeless man named Tony. Tony was fed from the teams of Strong Towers prior and Daybreak Christian Assembly. During one of the homeless drives where Daybreak met Tony, their team invited Tony to their church.
To get to their church in Towson, Tony had to find bus fair, take multiple routes and travel a bit out of his comfort zone. He eventually found his way for the only one Daybreak Christian Assembly Sunday morning service. Was Tony following an invite to service or did God had devine influence for a higher Purpose?
When he entered the church, the entire congregation applauded. They didn’t applaud for his ability to find the church and attend service, but applauded for Gods glory on how Jesus is blessing Tony.
Tony accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and got baptized at Daybreak Christian Assembly, all in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Daybreak and Strong Towers are truly humbled to be a "very small, small part" of encouraging Tony with Love in our respective homeless ministries. Praise God for the team of Daybreak and their persistence to the Call.
With Strong Towers, we are humble servants that don't see these transformations every day, but are blessed when we hear about how the Lord blesses others by just meeting people where they are - as Jesus Christ did outside the Temple.
This is our Call.

Tony is blessed and so are the many people that are a part of his long journey - a long and hard road worth traveled for all.
